Yoga+Strength

Class was great tonight. I can really feel myself getting stronger. When we first started, several weeks ago, lowering from the plank position to the floor was best described as a flop. Now I can feel that I can hold myself up longer and lower my body slowly to the floor with much more control than I had before.

Benefits of Yoga

There is a wide range of benefits associated with the practice of yoga. The following is a partcial list:

One would think that I hate my yoga class since I didn't post since the first day. Nothing could be further from the truth...I love it! Actually the class I am taking is called: Yoga/Kick boxing. The yoga lasts for 30 minutes, with the goal to warm us up, and then we go right into the kick boxing portion of the class. I love both parts very much but I have been trying to find out information as to where I can take additional yoga classes in my area. My goals are: weight loss, stress reduction, strength, and increased flexibility. I think yoga will enable me to achieve all of this and more.

Just Starting

Last night was my first yoga class and I really enjoyed it. As strange as it might sound, when I finished, I felt like I do when I get a massage. Weird, huh? I felt totally and completely relaxed. A+ for my first experience.
